We offer a wide range of fuels suitable for Open Fires, Stoves & Cookers.  Try our fuel guide or give us a call and one of our team will be able to advise you on the best fuel for your home.

What area do you cover?

We cover all over the CA postcode area:

Penrith, Appleby, Tebay, Stainmore, Armathwaite, Shap, Threlkeld, Glenridding, Newby, Warcop and many more! If your home is not in the Cumbria area, please call our office to discuss as we may still be able to arrange a delivery for you.

Is there an extra charge for delivery?

No, we offer free delivery on all orders within Cumbria (CA1 - CA28)

Do you do weekend deliveries?

No, our delivery service runs between Monday and Friday. You will be contacted about your delivery date 1-3 working days after placing your order.

Should I use smokeless fuel?

Yes, since the 1st May 2023 you are unable to buy traditional House Coal in England.  Legislation has been brought in to improve air quality so if you are looking for an alternative then we have a wide range of cleaner, smokeless solid fuels available for you to choose from

Do you only sell coal?

No, we sell all types of fuel including smokeless coal, ovoids, peat, wood and biomass pellets. We also have a huge range of parts and accessories for open fires and stoves, firelighters, disposable BBQ's, charcoal, kindling and also new stoves through our sister company, Pearsons of Duns. If you need a certain part please give us a call and we would be happy to advise. e.g. a grate, please provide as much information as possible or broken grates so that we can match it for you. Important information like size (most grates are either 16" or 18" wide) or photos will help.

Can you deliver to my coal shed or bunker?

No, since re-structuring we are no longer able to deliver to your coal shed or bunker. Our service is delivery to “kerbside” only, please see our delivery guide for more details
